  • "Crno na belo" in Vrnjačka banja



    Center for democracy Foundation organized a meeting with members of the local municipality, Labor inspectorate and trade unions in Vrnjačka banja on January 31st 2013, within the "Attractive workplace for all" project. 

    Center for Democracy presented the "Attractive workplace for all" project, along with "Crno na belo" media campaign, which is implemented along with five other non governmental organizations. Participants discussed about the current situation in Vrnjačka banja and Raška county, problems with black labor market, safety at work and discrimination at workplace, as well as potential solutions for these problems. 

    Participants agreed that it is necessary to continue and expand media action which motivates citizens to fight for labor rights and decent work agenda, as well as using the current government institutions for achievement of their rights. 
  • European standards in Serbia - third session held in Banja Koviljača



    Center for Democracy Foundation held the latest in a series of trainings in Banja Koviljača titled "Agricultural Policy of Serbia in the process of accession to the European Union" on 7th and 8th of December  2012.

    Participants had the opportunity to learn the basic things related to agricultural policy in the process of accession of Serbia in the EU, about  control system of food safety in the EU and the Republic of Serbia, about the products with protected geographical indications, as well as social inclusion and poverty reduction in local communities.

    Speakers were Jelena Živkovic from the Office for European Integration of the Republic of Serbia. Dejan Krnjaić Secretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture, Srđan Stamenković, independent researcher and Mirjana Maksimović form the Government Team for Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction.

    Session was attended by councilors and representatives of local assemblies and city halls from Mačva and Kolubara.     
  • Debate: "Toward labor law reforms"



    Center for Democracy Foundation, with the help of Olof Palme International center, organized a debate ""Toward labor law reforms", on November 30th 2012 in Belgrade.

    Opening remarks were given by Snežana Bogdanović from Ministry for labor, employment and social policy. She announced that the changes of the current Labor law should be finished by September 2013, after a wide and public discussion.

  • "Crno na belo" and trade unions in Negotin



    On November 29 in Negotin Resource Center Majdanpek oraganized meeting with the Trade Union representatives.
    Dejan Skoric from the Resource Center, presented the current results of the project "Decent Work for All" with special emphasis on the most common problems and complaints that were collected trough citizens testimonials and questions to our legal advisors.

  • Debate: "Human rights and security services""



    Center for Democracy Foundation, with the help of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, organized a debate "Human rights and security services", within the project Democratic Political Forum, on November 27th, 2012 at the National Bank of Serbia. 

    Opening remarks were given by Rodoljub Šabić, The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection.
