National Conference “Economic and Social Rights in Serbia”
Center for Democracy is organizing the conference “Economic and Social Rights in Serbia”, to be held June 27, 2008 in Belgrade, Sava Center, conference hall 3, at 10 a.m.
School for politics and civil society – POLITEIA
Center for Democracy has renewed the long running project POLITEIA.
Over 1,500 participants went through this school during the project’s original run from 1998 until 2005. Four years later, we have revamped Politeia for young activists from democratic-orientated political parties in Serbia.
During the seven-day Politeia, the participants will improve their knowledge about politics, political philosophy and ideology, and develop their skills for public debating.
Politeia - School for Politics and Civil Society will be held in Palic, from 13th until 20th of September 2009.

Debate “Media between responsibilities and obligations”
Center for Democracy, with the help of Friedrich Ebert foundation, organized the debate “Media between responsibilities and obligations”, within the project Democratic Political Forum, on July 17th, 2009 at the National Bank of Serbia.
Introductory remarks were given by Dr. Ljubiša Rajić, professor at Philology Faculty, and Ljiljana Smajlović, president of Journalists of Serbia Assosiation.
The moderator was Ljubica Gojgić, B92 journalist.

Center for Democracy, with the help of Friedrich Ebert foundation, organized the debate “Our fellow citizens – The Roma”, within the project Democratic Political Forum, on June 30th, 2009 at the National Bank of Serbia.
Introductory remarks will be given by Dr. Rajko Đurić, and Dr. Goran Bašić, Deputy Ombudsman for national minority rights.

EU standards in Serbia – Conference in Kruševac
Within the “Implementation of EU Values, Policies and Standards in Local Communities” project, Center for Democracy organized the regional conference “An Update in Implementing European Standards in Serbia and Local Communities”, on June 26th in “Rubin” hotel in Kruševac.
Center for Democracy also promoted the collection of articles “European standards in Serbia”, which was published during this project.
