  • Debate “Regionalization – Condition for Balanced Development”
    Center for Democracy, with the help of Friedrich Ebert foundation, will organize the debate “Regionalization – Condition for Balanced Development”, within the project Democratic Political Forum, on June 10th, 2009 at the National Bank of Serbia.
    Introductory remarks will be given by Boško Ristić, Member of Parliament and Jovan Komšić, Professor at the Economics Faculty in Novi Sad.

  • Debate: “Anti-Fascism in Serbia – Yesterday and Today”
    Center for Democracy, with the support of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, organized the debate “Anti-fascism in Serbia – Yesterday and Today”, within the project Democratic Political Forum, on May 27, 2009 at the National Bank of Serbia.
    Among the participants were members of the Ministries of the Republic of Serbia, Office of the Prosecutor of the Republic of Serbia, as well as members of Parliament, universities, NGOs and media.

  • The Power of our Social Responsibility - Round table in Niš
    Within the project “The Power of our Social Responsibility – State, Business, Citizens for Economic and Social Rights”, Center for Democracy organized a round table in Niš on May 25. Introductory remarks were given by Radovan Ristanović, Director of Inspectorate for Labor, Ministry of Labor and Social Politics, and Saša Gajin, Assistant at the Law Faculty within Union University in Belgrade. The goals of this round table were to consider the possibilities of changing the Labor Law and related laws which would improve the status of employees who are working overtime or without contract agreements.

  • Debate: “Serbian-American relations”
    Center for Democracy, with the support of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, organized the debate “Serbian-American relations”, within the project Democratic Political Forum, on May 14, 2009 at the National Bank of Serbia.
    Introductory remarks were given by Živorad Kovačević and Ivan Vujačić, former ambassadors in USA.

  • Women, employment and powerty – Kraljevo, Paraćin, Pirot, Niš, Velika Plana
    Within the project “Women, Employment and powerty”, Center for democracy organized round tables in Kraljevo, Paraćin, Pirot, Nis and Velika Plana from May 11-26. The goal of these roundtables was to consider the possibilities of improving the position of unemployed women in these municipalities.

    Center for Democracy Foundation is one of the most experienced and competent non-governmental organizations in Serbia. It was founded in 1994 by Professor Dragoljub Mićunović and a group of prominent Intellectuals. Center for Democracy Foundation is recognized in the public mostly by its seven-year project POLITEIA and the project for fostering women employment, while its most important current projects include: Democratic political forum, launched with the goal of establishing European public policies in Serbia, as well as the Power of our Social Responsibility which deals with the promotion of economic and social rights of the employees.
