Mission

Center for Democracy Foundation is a non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit organization that contributes to the creation of a modern democratic society in Serbia by enhancing the human and institutional capacities through research, educational and development programs, and by improving the performance of economic, social and cultural rights.

Objectives Center for Democracy Foundation creates and directs its activities towards the following objectives: Development of civil society in Serbia Enhancement of democratic institutions, particularly the development of a modern parliament, independent judiciary, modern state administration and free media Promotion of the integration of Serbia into the European Union Creation of a democratic political culture, with tolerance and dialogue as the bases for conflict resolution in the society Establishment of the rule of law in Serbia Protection and improvement of human and civil rights Promotion of a free market economy, but socially responsible state as well Activities Delivering programs for reforms and strategic development of our society Promoting European integration and education about the European Union and accession process Programs for youth Expert education of professions that has crucial role in conducting the reforms and transition of our society (MPs, judges, state officials and others) Education of activists and officials of political parties, non-governmental organizations and trade unions Programs for capacity building of non-governmental organizations Publishing Target groups Representatives of local governments Activists of political parties, non-governmental organizations and trade unions Students and youth Judges and court administration Women in public offices State administration staff Marginalized groups and victims of transition
