  • Call for applications for "European standars in Serbia" project is open


    The Call for Applications for the program „European Standards in Serbia" is now opened.

    Program is designed for members of local municipal assemblies, public servants from local governments, local NGOs, local businesses and agricultural producers from Pirot and Nis district.

  • Debate "Science, society and citizens "


    Center for Democracy, with the help of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, organized a debate "Science, society and citizens ", within the project Democratic Political Forum, on March 19th, 2010 at the National Bank of Serbia.

    Introductory remarks were given by Snežana Pajović, state secretary in Ministry of Science and Technological Development, Vlastimir Matejić from the Mihajlo Pupin Institute, and Ana Pešikan from the Institute for psychology.

  • World kidney day promotion

    Due to celebration of the World kidney day, Center for democracy, in the cooperation with  Nephrology section of  Serbian physician society and citizen's association „Renalis" organized promotion on Thursday 11th of March, from 11-14 h in Knez Mihajlova street, opposite to „Ruski car" restaurant.

    During the promotion, all interested citizens were given donors cards for organ donations. This promotion goes on every second Thursday in March in all major world cities.

  • Slovak - Serbian EU Enlargement Fund

    The Pontis Foundation (Slovakia) and the Center for Democracy Foundation (CDF) (Serbia) announce the first Call for Proposal for researchers and organizations from Serbia to undertake research projects on the topic of:

    • Financial applications of EU environmental regulations in Serbia: critical issues ahead
    • EU pre-accession funds for Serbia: practical lessons from Slovakia
    • Slovakia’s “catching up” with more advanced Central European countries (H, CZ, PL) in the EU enlargement: example for the Western Balkans countries?
    • Serbia as an EU candidate country: the issue of internal coordination.

    The Fund provides an opportunity that part of the research can be conducted in Bratislava, Slovakia in the form of a study visit. The Pontis Foundation can facilitate logistical arrangements for all interested individuals who opt for this option in terms of providing contact to relevant decision makers and experts involved in the Slovak EU integration process, making hotel reservations, etc.

  • DEBATE “Noble legacy”

    Center for Democracy, with the help of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, organized a debate “Noble legacy “, about organs donatios, within the project Democratic Political Forum, on November 17th, 2009 at the National Bank of Serbia.

    Introductory remarks were given by Radmila Blagojević-Lazić, president of Transplantation section within the Serbian physician society and Zorica Pavlović, Minister of health’s deputy.
