We are delighted to announce that Center for Democracy Foundation has recently been accepted as a member of UN Global Compact.
Continuing the project Court Administration Efficiency Training, Center for Democracy has organized the two pilot-trainings in the period 17-24 January.
First training was intended for the judges and administrative workers from Kragujevac and the surrounding area (Batocina, Knic, Topola, Arandjelovac), while the participants at the second training in Vrnjacka banja were judges and their colleagues from 18 towns from all over Serbia.
Within the framework of the campaign The Power of Our Social Responsibility, Center for Democracy held two trainings for NGOs from Serbia on the monitoring of economic and social rights.
A total of 40 representatives from NGOs throughout Serbia attended trainings that were held in Belgrade, Hotel Park, on December 7-8, and Hotel Kasina on December 14-15, 2007.
Topics discussed were: Concept of economic, social and cultural rights (ESC), International documents on ESC, Serbian Legislation, Laws on safe and healthy work conditions, Experience from practice of NGOs, Peaceful resolution of labor disputes and Monitoring of ESC.
The training was organized in the frame of capacity improvement of the NGOs to conduct monitoring and advocacy activities for the efficient protection of economic and social rights.
