  • Debate: "Serbia and EU after 9th December"


    Center for Democracy Foundation, with the help of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, organized a debate "Serbia and EU after 9th December", within the project Democratic Political Forum, on December 12th, 2011 at the National Bank of Serbia. 

    Opening remarks were given by Milica Delević, director of the European Integration Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Dr. Michael Ehrke, director of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation office in Belgrade.

  • Start of the "Let’s Stop Age Discrimination and Endorse Active Ageing" project


    Center for Democracy Foundation held a press conference on Friday, 25th of November in Medija center in Belgrade, regarding our new project:"Let's Stop Age Discrimination and Endorse Active Ageing"

    Speakers at the press conference were: sociologist Srećko Mihajlovićpresident of the Serbian Association of Employers Nebojša AtanackovićNadežda Satarićpresident of the management board of „Power of friendship AmitY" organisation and program director of the Center for the Democracy foundation Ksenija Petovar. 

    We also used this opportunity to promote publication „Older workers - some working, and some without work or pension". This books contains the results of the research which deals with people who are over 50 years old, and have numerous obstacles while trying to find a job.

    We will implement the project in cooperation with NGO Snaga prijateljstva Amity, Serbian Association of Employers and Zvezdara Municipality.   

    The project is funded by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, under the EU funded Support to Civil Society Project.    
  • Debate: "Is carelessness for culture uncultured?"


    Center for Democracy Foundation, with the help of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, organized a debate "Is carelessness for culture uncultured?", within the project Democratic Political Forum, on November 3rd, 2011 at the National Bank of Serbia. 

    Opening remarks were given by Vesna Marjanović, City council member for culture and Vida Ognjenović, writer and director.

  • Debate: "How to decrease informal and black economy"

    Center for Democracy Foundation, with the help of Olof Palme International center, organized a debate "How to decrease informal and black economy", on October 10th, 2011, at the hotel Palace. 

    Opening remarks were given by Ksenija Petovar, program director in Center for Democracy Foundation.
    The round table was organized within the project "Decent work Balkan network", which is supported by EU.
  • Debate: "Why are there so many unemployed?"

    Center for Democracy Foundation, with the help of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, organized a debate "Why are there so many unemployed?", within the project Democratic Political Forum, on September 19th, 2011 at the National Bank of Serbia. 

    Opening remarks were given by Danica Vasiljević, vice president of National Employment Service and Milan Knežević, vice president of Association of small and medium sized enterprises.
