    The project \"Attractive workplace for all\" focuses on poor working conditions and Decent Work deficits which results in SER violations, social exclusion and increased vulnerability. We want to contribute to better socio economic development in Serbia through improving the working conditions and promoting the Decent Work agenda by mobilizing citizens and CSOs, influencing policy and creating effective interaction with the media.

    Implementation of EU Values, Policies and Standards in Local Communities

    Overall objectives are:

    1) Facilitating better understanding of particular EU values, policies and standards
    2) Contributing to more efficient incorporation and implementation of these policies in local communities with the aim to enhance the European integration process and bring Serbia closer to EU.

    Specific objective:

    is to increase the number of people in local communities (Mačvanski i Pomoravski regions in Serbia) who understand, adopt and can further promote and advocate for implementation of particular EU values, policies and standards in local communities (related to protection of environment, agricultural products and consumers) with the aim to link the integration process with the improvement of quality of life and citizens' safety.  

    Project will last from 1/1/2012 until 31/12/2012 

    Project is implemented with the financial help of Olof Palme International Center.

  • Equal at work



    Center for Democracy Foundation started the project "Equal at work" on January 1st 2013.
    Project goal is to strengthen the expertise and advocacy potential of smaller-scale CSO to represent women in this region for better exercise of  their labour rights. The Serbian labour market is characterized by significant problems, especially discrimination against women in the labor market and at workplace. The civic sector will be empowered to become an effective actor in representing citizens' concerns regarding socio-economic rights, women in specific.

    Center for Democracy Foundation with the financial support of the Balkan Trust for Democracy and the Democracy Commission at the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, in cooperation with the Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies launched the "Citizens and Security - Basic elements and actors in the implementation of the concept of human security."

  • Democratic political forum connecting citisens and politics

    A Policy Making Forum

    democratic political forumThis project aims to offer a framework which will provide for a policy making forum through connecting citizens with people in politics and with other policy makers. Its aim is to promote innovative ways of communicating and debating policies with the wider public and to provide an independent and innovative debate on the future of politics and concrete public policies in Serbia. It intends to contribute to the improved image of politics in Serbian society through: motivating the political parties to adjust their programs and activities to major citizens’ concerns, encouraging citizens to increase their participation in the political process and policy making, and promoting the political culture by establishing channels of communication between policy makers and citizens. The project, thus, targets political parties, their leadership and policy makers, as well as the citizens of Serbia.
