Everybody Has the Right to a Safe Working Place
The right on safe and healthy working conditions is one of the human rights.
Non-governmental organization Center for Democracy Foundation, in the framework of a more extensive subject on economic and social rights of citizens, conducted several researches on the status of employed population in Serbia. Summarizing analysis are published in booklets and various texts incorporating on-field research and discussions at round tables with contribution of representatives from unions, employees, labor inspection, other public services, experts and other interested parties.
Unquestionable result of these researches, as well as many other reports and analysis, point out that the employed part of population in Serbia is facing great deficit of safety at their working places, as well as the fact the number of injuries and lethal accidents at work is no decreasing.
