First Regional Thematic Network Forum and the Annual Conference

First Regional Thematic Network Forum and Annual Conference were held in Tirana on February 26-27, 2019, within the project Regional Youth Compact for Europe.

On the first day of RTNF, over 70 representatives of civil sector and youth from Western Balkans and Turkey had the opportunity to gain knowledge on new possibilities for cooperation among different actors in the region, but also to participate in simulation of joined activities for integration in the EU on the regional level.

The Forum was opened by Arbjan Mazniku, Deputy Mayor of Tirana, Sokol Dedja, Deputy Minister of European and International Affairs from Albania, and Antonella Valmorbida, Secretary General of ALDA. During the opening remarks, it was emphasized that the recognition of joined similarities and overbridging the differences is very important for the progress of the Western Balkans.

The Annual conference with the representatives from the civil society, public and private sector of the Western Balkans, was held on February 27, 2019. The lessons learned and various initiatives that can be applicable in all WB countries were presented during the conference.

Center for Democracy Foundation was presented by Natasa Vuckovic, Secretary General.

These events enabled actors in the EU accession process to connect and to discuss about further possibilities of the regional level engagement.

Regional Thematic Network Forum and Annual Conference were organized by the partner organization from Albania Youth Act, within the project Regional Youth Compact for Europe.

This project is financed by European Union and Balkan Trust for Democracy (A Project of German Marshall Fund).
